How to choose the right hall size for your guest count
Seated dinner, buffet or standing reception — each format changes how much space each guest actually needs.
The most common planning mistake is booking on headcount alone. Space per guest depends entirely on format.
A seated banquet with round tables needs the most room per guest, because you are accounting for the table, the chairs and the service aisles between them. A buffet setup needs additional space for the serving lines and queueing.
A theatre-style conference fits far more people into the same footprint, but you then need space at the front for a stage and podium, and space at the back for late arrivals.
A standing cocktail reception is the most flexible of all, and works well when your programme is short and your guests are meant to mingle.
When you tour Grand Imperial, tell us your format first and your number second. We will lay the hall out on paper before you commit.
